Variety is the spice of life.

What a great cycling week 30th Jan to 5th Feb was. I started the week with a hill reps session on my steel Mango single speed. I had come up with a couple of courses in my town which concentrated on climbing and manage to get out out one. What a great session. Hard but truly satisfying. 10.94 miles 932 feet.

February 1st I went out on my 29er to recce that weeks run club route. The route went on the Fife Coastal Path and then across a farmers land. He has a bit of a reputation of locking one of the gates. I took the MTB out just to check that the gates were not locked. 12.02 miles 758 feet.

On the Friday I set out on my Ridley Orion around a route I do quite often when I want a short sharp blast. 15.26 miles 945 feet.

Saturday I embarked on a longer ride on my Tour de Fer 20 loaded up with panniers as a training run for the Roam Scotland Rally. I left home heading west to Rosyth then north to Lochgelly where I stopped at the Fife Cycle Park for a quick bite. I resumed pedalling, still heading north and then eventually south east to my partners home in Leven. 50.31 miles 2876 feet.

I ended the week with a double header on Sunday. First ride was an out and back from Leven tp Pittenweem on the Thorn tandem with a coffee stop at the Aurrie in Lower Largo. 26.87 miles 1083 feet.

Final ride of the week was a short ride home once more on the Tour de Fer. 10.52 miles with 407 feet.

A great week with every bike I own ridden and a total mileage of 125.9 miles and 6,999 feet of climbing.
